Coconut Grove Food Bank: While donations of non-perishable foods are always welcome, St. Stephen’s Church and School designate six “special in-gathering days” per year to stock the cupboards of the food bank located at Christ Episcopal Church in the Village West. For more information contact Kathryn Villano.

Community Brunches: After the 10:30 mass on the first Sunday of each month, we offer brunch to the wider community, serving many homeless people as well as our own parishioners. For more information contact Nancy Denton.

Egg Sunday: In support of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral’s “Feed My Sheep Program”, parishioners are asked to bring a total of 30 dozen hard-boiled eggs (to St. Stephen’s) on the third Sunday of each month. For more information contact Krisan Lamberti.

Narcotics Anonymous: An NA group (open to all) meets every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall.

People Acting Together in Community (P.A.C.T.): St. Stephen’s is the first Episcopal Church to join this interfaith coalition committed to making community needs known to and seeking their redress from Miami/Dade and City of Miami officials. For more information contact Lynette McGuinness.

Shared Outreach/Service Projects: Periodically St. Stephen’s Church and St. Stephen’s School join forces to work on designated outreach or community service projects. For more information contact Ana Eriksen.

South Florida Interfaith Worker Justice: This is the local branch of the national Interfaith Worker Justice movement; an interfaith body dedicated to working for justice for the marginalized, the “working poor” (a category which should not even exist in our land of plenty), and the immigrant communities. For more information contact The Rev’d Willie Allen-Faiella.

St. Stephen’s Art & Craft Show: What began 20 years ago as a hot dog stand on church property during the Coconut Grove Arts Festival has long been considered a nationally important show in its own right, and most recently was ranked 8th in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine. Help make this important church fundraiser a success by contacting Nancy Denton or visit the Show’s website at www.artshowss.com to learn more.

The Heart of the Grove Art Gallery & Gift Shop: The Heart of the Grove is St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church most recent form of cultural outreach. In joint venture with the Grove House Artists Cooperative, the church is providing local artists a place to show their art and to bring back to Coconut Grove the essence of the “Old Grove” of the 1960’s when artists were the soul of the community. The Gallery is open Tuesday – Sunday 12 – 6, closed Mondays and the month of August. Call 305 445 1743 for more information or contact Erin Clancy.

T.R.U.E Fund: On the second Sunday of each month funds are collected to assist those in need in the local community. For more information contact Ann Strickland.
